SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine will celebrate Turtle Fest from June 3 – 10, highlighting their conservation efforts and showcasing their non-releasable green sea turtle, Hope, and two new Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles.
Turtle Fest activities include:
- Snap fun photos with your friends and family in front of the new, exciting photo board featuring SEA LIFE mascot Tyler the Turtle.
- Follow the Tyler the Turtle quiz trail throughout the aquarium to find fun facts on conservation and sea turtles.
- In return for a donation the Georgia Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center, guests will receive a turtle to color and have it displayed in SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine.
- Learn about conservation with SEA LIFE aquarists as they host daily "Turtle Talks" as well as learn interesting facts about their job during special discussions on World Oceans Day.
- Annual pass holders are invited out on Monday, June 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. for a private, behind-the-scenes tour to see the aquarium’s two new endangered non-releasable juvenile Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles before they are placed on public view.
- Purchase $1 raffle tickets to enter to win a chance to “shadow and aquarist for a day”, must be 14 years of age. Raffle donations benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center.
- Stop by the SEA LIFE Young Environmentalists table set up at the entrance from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to learn more about this unique program created for children ages 8-12 who serve for one year and assist the SEA LIFE team in promoting conservation.
- In celebration of World Oceans Day on Saturday, June 8, bring in 20 plastic bags for 10% OFF your SEA LIFE admission ticket.
SEA LIFE Aquarium Hours: Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. – attraction remains open two hours after last admission; Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Attraction remains open two hours after last admission.
