'Rise and Shine' Event to Benefit Children at Dallas' The Rise School

The 13th annual Rise and Shine 5K Walk and Run will be held on Sunday, April 28 at 1 p.m., with registration starting at noon at Reverchon Park (Turtle Creek & Maple) in Dallas. The event will include a 5K walk and run, The Johnny Stallings 1K Fun Run, and many activities for the whole family.

The real celebration begins after you cross the finish line. The Jolie Holliday band will kick off the Post-Race Party at 1:45 p.m.

There will also be a DJ, clown, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, bungee trampolines, bounce houses, raffle, and free food and drinks. Fun and games for all ages from toddler to adults. Come join the fun!

The Rise and Shine benefits The Rise School of Dallas, a nationally recognized preschool specializing in the development and education of children, from ages eighteen months to six years, with Down Syndrome andother disabilities, as well as typical children. All proceeds from the run go directly to benefit the children who attend the school.  Preregister at www.riseschool.org or at Lukes Locker.
Early registration costs are $25/adult, and $5/child (3-17).  Children 2 and under are free.
On race day, the cost will go up $5/registrant.
