Native Texas Butterflies Exhibits Opening Up at the Heard Museum

The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary is opening up its Butterfly House and Butterfly Garden on June 1, and you won't want to miss the beautiful setting that will be home to native Texas butterflies.

The exhibit will open on June 1 and will be on display until Sept. 30, so there's plenty of time to make plans to see the Butterfly House and Garden and snap a few pictures during your visit to the collection.

If you like what you see at the exhibit and are interested in making your garden into a butterfly attraction, the Heard Museum has resources that can teach you how to create your own pollinator garden, in addition to the plants butterflies use as a food source.

For more information, please visit the Heard Museum website.

The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 1 Nature Place in McKinney.
