SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine Showcases Conservation Efforts with 'Turtle Fest'

SEA LIFE Grapevine will celebrate “Turtle Fest” from June 8 – 23, highlighting their worldwide conservation efforts and showcasing their rescue green sea turtle, Hope.  Activities include a scavenger hunt throughout the attraction where guests have a chance to win fun prizes and educational-themed crafts for children to take part in during their visit to the aquarium. Learn about conservation when the SEA LIFE aquarists will host a “Turtle Talk” daily at 1:30 p.m. in the Dinosaur Dive.

On Saturday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the SEA LIFE Young Environmentalists will also have a booth set up at the entrance to share the conservation message and details of this unique program created for children. The Young Environmentalists are DFW area children ages 8-12 who serve for one year and assist the SEA LIFE team in promoting conservation.

The attraction will also be collecting donations to donate to the Sea Turtle Hospital in Florida throughout Turtle Fest.  The Sea Turtle Hospital efforts include rescuing endangered or injured sea turtles, educating the public on sea turtle safety, conducting and assisting in sea turtle research and working to pass legislation to protect the future of sea turtles.

SEA LIFE is located within the Grapevine Mills Mall at 3000 Grapevine Mills Pkwy. in Grapevine.
