You won't find any hodge-podge popsicle-stick dioramas in on display at the third-annual Diorama-O-Rama benefiting Cafe Momentum. Each of the three-dimensional scenes — most often assigned to elementary school students as projects — is crafted by a bona-fide Dallas artist.
The dioramas, which will be auctioned off by KERA's Rawlins Gilliland and Dallas Cultural Affairs Commissioner Catherine Cuellar, is slated for May 12 starting at 4 p.m. at Bolt Studios.
A $5 donation will get you in (but it's free for kids), and expect music from local DJs Chikki G and Hammertimez. Photographer Chris Arrant will be taking crowd snaps, and the first 50 attendees will receive a tote screened by Model Citizens Print Co and an illustration by Amanda Pounds.
Today, May 4, is the pre-registration deadline for artists wishing to participate.
